This exhibition (2012/07/23-28) by
Tamura Masaki (田村正樹) at
Art Space Rashinban (アートスペース羅針盤) consisted of mainly large paintings in the style of the one shown here (which was one of the smaller pictures), as well as some unique wooden objects with a small picture painted onto one flat surface.
The paintings included
nihonga elements, although they were of unique construction, with some parts painted directly onto the wood panel, and other parts with one, two, or three layers of
washi paper. Painted white parts utilized crushed oyster shells. I thought the overall balance and taste of the pictures was quite good. この展示会は、上の絵のような絵でした。 日本画のエレメントを使って、結構上品な感じとバランスのいい絵と思いました。
