Matsui Keitaro (松井圭太郎) Exhibition at Ai Gallery (藍ギャラリー)

At this exhibition (2010/12/06-11) by Matsui Keitaro (松井圭太郎) at Ai Gallery (藍ギャラリー) were several actual-size doors made from some kind of carve-able material (not wood) that was then coated with lacquer (漆).  The effect was quite good - as they appeared up close to be wood - and would have looked like real doors entirely if not for the deliberate distortions.  この展示会は、色々なドアでした。漆を使って、何だか、ドラえもん世界の物な感じと思いました。面白かったです。
