This exhibition (2010/11/01-06) by Mutou Fumika (武藤文香) at Ginza Ono Gallery-2 (小野画廊-2) consists of many interesting items, such as custom wood and bamboo cases for smart phones, and several examples of cups, plates and other ceramic pieces that the artist/instructor has repaired.
It had never occurred to me before that chipped cups and plates could be repaired, but there's a way to do it apparently, and this artist conducts classes showing how it's done. This website (in Japanese) covers that aspect:
