As I began to view the pictures at the exhibition, I initially thought they were oil paintings with the paint applied thick enough to create a three-dimensional effect, but then - when I got to the third picture - it occurred to me that something was different, so I took a close look at the picture and discovered that it was composed of actual pieces of plants!
The artist explained that she arranges the pieces of flowers directly against the glass, and then the picture is sealed with some kind of dehumidifier inside with physical pressure holding everything together (no glue). A close-up photo of one of the pictures with mostly whole flowers gives some idea of the construction.この展示会は、実に面白かった! 最初は、深みがあるの油絵と思って、良く見ると、実際の花でした! 自然な材料の綺麗な絵は、美しいです!
